Ancient philosophy, divination, and salvation in the Early Roman Empire
I am a researcher in ancient philosophy based at the École Pratique des Hautes Études-PSL, and affiliated to the Laboratoire d'études sur les monothéismes (CNRS UMR 8584).
My main focus is the Early Roman Empire (1st–3rd centuries AD), a world animated by lively and open debates between different philosophical schools, cultural groups, and religious associations.
The core themes I investigate are divinatory theories and doctrines of salvation.
